UPDATE! Our audience donated $47,655. Because of the excitement around this campaign, we want to invite all of you into it with an opportunity to help us reach a stretch goal of $52,000. The show is fully funded, so this stretch goal would:

Help us expand access to our productions and provide discounts for different groups to make it possible for more people to enjoy the magic of live theater
Allow us to get high quality documentation of the show to further our goal of licensing original works for other theaters to produce
Give us the ability to enhance our efforts to connect as a community by growing our hospitality and formation for artists throughout the season

In a world that has become increasingly artificial, theatre is as real as it can get. The artist and the audience stand in the same room, and work together to breathe life into the art they share.

Missed the Boat Theatre's goal for our 2026 Benefit Cabaret is to fully fund our June production, the world premiere of Fr. Kyle Kowalczyk and Chad Berg's new show Moonshot: A Statistically Insignificant Musical. On the night of February 13th through the following week, we hope to raise $45,416: the precise amount budgeted to produce Moonshot. This will allow 100% of ticket sales to go toward supporting future programming, staff, and operations to continue transforming lives through the power of real, incarnational creative experiences.

Thanks to several incredibly generous patrons who have contributed to a $15,000 donation match, your contributions will be doubled if made within a one-week window of the cabaret! What goes into the budget of our mainstage musical production?

The physical materials needed to construct a functional, stunning, and safe set
Costumes, props, lighting, and audio supplies and equipment
Modest stipends to honor the professional-quality work of our directors, managers, designers, cast, and musicians
Hospitality for our weekly community dinner to build relationships across departments, following a private Mass where we lift up our art, our needs, and our patrons' needs to God
Rental fees for rehearsal, set-building, and/or performance locations (which means putting money back into other Catholic institutions in the area)
Marketing materials to make sure we pack the house for this world premiere
Royalties paid to the writers to honor the value of their creative work and ownership

Donor Perks & Giving Levels

All donors who give from December 1, 2025-November 30, 2026 are considered supporters of the 2026 season, and will receive the following perks as indications of our gratitude, based on their giving level, throughout 2026. Monthly donors’ gifts are annualized and honored according to the sum total of their anticipated giving in the 12-month period as indicated below. (These are our perks for individual donors. If you would like to give on behalf of a company or corporation, you are eligible for these corporate perks instead!)

Our giving levels are named for holy men and women known for their generosity, so that our patrons of the arts can have patrons in prayer as well. We pray in a particular way for the intercession of each group's patron throughout the year and especially on their feast days.
