HIV infection rates that our local efforts had reduced from 15% to 6.5% could potentially rise again. Our hospital staff, once 12 strong, has been halved to just six workers caring for 2,000 HIV and AIDS patients, including 300 children.

But Shirati is resilient. We have a plan, driven by our community, to address these challenges head-on.
