Ongoing Support

It is a rich legacy and tradition at SHHS that parents, grandparents, relatives and friends work together to help fund and support these programs, as well as help ensure that our children have opportunities to showcase their impressive musical talents.

We are South Hadley Music Parents Association (SHMPA), a volunteer-run 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supporting the performing arts programs at South Hadley High School. Since our founding in 2008 we have assisted the music department by offering financial assistance above and beyond what is provided by the school budget.  The TigerPride Marching Band, concert band, jazz band, chorus, Vocal Roar (our a cappella group), and Harlequins (our drama group) not only provide opportunities for students to create art in their community but also foster skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
