These are two of the most important moments in a young person's year, and for thousands of Hoosier youth, both hinge on something most families take for granted: a fresh, new pair of shoes that fit and are full of confidence.

Too small, worn out, wrong for the season, or passed down one too many times. When shoes don't work, kids pull back. They skip the signup, sit out the game, and shrink in the spaces where they should be thriving.

New Shoe Day is Indiana's Shoe Bank, the first statewide organization built to end shoe insecurity for youth across Indiana. We provide new shoes to kids and families who need them, removing a barrier that quietly affects participation, community connection, and mental wellness. And we make it easier for the parents, coaches, camp counselors, and youth serving organizations who show up for these kids every day to keep them engaged and moving forward.

Summer and back to school season is the highest demand we see all year, and that's exactly why we're going big. Our goal is $100,000 to supply up to 2,000 pairs of shoes. One pair to kick off summer and another to walk into the first day of school with confidence. Two moments. Two pairs. One chance to change the whole trajectory of a kid's year.

Your donation will also help fund NSD's first delivery vehicle, giving our Shoe Bank and Shoe Pantry network the ability to show up where we're needed most, in communities across the state, with more agility and on demand. It's part of the infrastructure that takes our mission to new heights.
