Shop. Sip. Give Back.

Join us on Tuesday, October 20 from 6–9 PM at Azzura Haus of Beauty in Georgetown for a special evening of shopping, beauty, cocktails, bites, and community, all benefiting Aaliyah in Action.

About Aaliyah in Action

Aaliyah in Action was founded by Liz O’Donnell, after her daughter, Aaliyah, was stillborn at GW Hospital at the end of 2020. After leaving the hospital, Liz saw firsthand the need for meaningful, tangible support for families beginning a grief journey they never expected.

Today, Aaliyah in Action provides Bereavement Support Kits at no cost to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss, working with hospital partners, healthcare providers, military support communities, and individual families to ensure compassionate resources are available from the very beginning of the grief journey.

Since launching in 2021, Aaliyah in Action has distributed more than 3,500 support packages, and our work is now expanding beyond immediate family support to include education and training for healthcare professionals, helping strengthen how families are cared for following loss.

Every dollar raised through this event helps us continue providing this support at no cost to families.

About the Evening

Aaliyah in Action Board Member and DC stylist Sarah Bland, of SWB Style, is curating the evening, bringing together some of our favorite local brands and experiences for a night designed to be equal parts fundraising and fun.

Throughout the evening, guests can:

✨ Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from ACharcuterie, along with cocktails and refreshments throughout the evening

✨ Enter for the chance to win a $2,500 gift card to Resculpt Aesthetics

And there’s more to come! We’ll be announcing additional participating brands and special touches as we get closer to the event.

Admission is complimentary, but registration is requested. When reserving your ticket, you’ll also have the option to make a donation directly to Aaliyah in Action.

Every purchase, donation, and show of support helps Aaliyah in Action continue providing tangible bereavement support to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss and expanding our work to strengthen bereavement care.

Come shop, sip, connect, and give back with us in Georgetown. We can’t wait to see you there. 💛
