SHOW UP FOR WOMEN

There are moments when something happens in our community that makes us angry. Frustrated. Heartbroken. Moments that remind us how much work remains to ensure women are safe, heard, respected, and given the same opportunities to thrive.

And in those moments, many of us ask the same question:

What can I do?

You can show up.

Right here in Ithaca, Women’s Opportunity Center shows up for women every single day.

Not only when women’s issues make headlines. Not only when the community is paying attention. Every day.

We advocate for women. We help women impacted by abuse and domestic violence through Amunet. We help women build careers, find employment, strengthen their financial independence, and navigate barriers that can make moving forward feel impossible.

Through Her+, we help women explore entrepreneurship and build businesses of their own. Through Future Ready, we’re helping women develop technology and AI skills so they have a place in the future of work. And through WOC Cares, we help women facing immediate needs that can stand between them and stability.

Different women. Different circumstances. Different needs.

But one belief connects everything we do:

Women deserve safety.
Women deserve opportunity.
Women deserve economic independence.
Women deserve to be heard.

And none of this work happens by itself.

It happens because people decide that supporting women should be more than something we say.

So we're asking our community to Show Up for Women.

Donate. Start a fundraising team. Get your campus organization involved. Ask your workplace to participate. Challenge your friends. Share our work. Volunteer. Help someone else discover WOC.

You don't need to solve every problem facing women.

You can help strengthen the organization right here in our community that is working on them every single day.

SHOW UP FOR WOMEN.

Because supporting women is more than something we say.
It’s something we do.

Help us keep showing up.
