Each location is fundraising for local causes dear to them.

Bend, OR: The AdventurUs is fundraising for Oregon Adaptive Sports to support female and non-binary athletes.

Durango, CO: This team is fundraising for the recently reopened Planned Parenthood in Durango to help them re-establish and build a solid foundation to grow and serve our community.

Fernie, BC: This team is fundraising for the Fernie Women's Resource Centre and the Cranbrook Women’s Resource Centre | Community Connections Society of Southeast BC.

Lake Tahoe, CA: This team is fundraising for the Lake Tahoe Dance Collective and the Sierra Community House.

Missoula, MT: This team is fundraising for FreeCycles, a rad nonprofit community bike shop that is so much more than a bike shop. They are such an important gathering space for many events in our community, including a lot of grassroots resistance efforts - everything from local musical performances to anti-ICE trainings to Revel - a grassroots singing and movement space. Basically, when a group needs a space to host their event, FreeCycles is the community's go-to. They are currently fundraising on a larger scale to pay off their property loan, which will allow more funding to flow directly to programming, ensuring they will remain a forever entity in Missoula.

Salt Lake City, UT: This team is all about petting puppies and not the patriarchy. They're fundraising for Paws for Life and Nuzzles and Co.

Summit County, CO: This team is fundraising for the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition.

Taos, NM: This team is fundraising for the Dream Tree Project and the Taos Immigrant Allies.

Wilmington, NY: This team is fundraising for the North Country Immigrant Allies (NCIA), is a group of concerned community members from across Essex and Franklin counties who formed as a rapid response network. NCIA has engaged with the businesses that employ immigrants, the agencies where they seek services (schools, law enforcement, healthcare, etc), and the communities where they reside. NCIA has done extensive work supporting individual immigrants impacted by current federal tactics, and continues to provide training in connection with the Office of New Americans and the Volunteer Lawyers Project for businesses, schools, and individuals.

Shred the What?

The patriarchy isn't just one thing—it's all the systems that decide who gets to belong, who gets heard, who gets to take up space, and who has access to resources. It's in our daily lives, shaping everything from how safe we feel walking alone to whether we can afford to exist. In the outdoors, it looks like gatekeeping, media, and businesses treating women and underrepresented folks as an afterthought, and a culture that has made too many people feel like the outdoors weren't for them.

Shredding the patriarchy means we're changing that story. We're using our love of skiing, snowboarding, and getting outside to dismantle those barriers—one bike ride, one summit, one lap, one person at a time.

The Fine Print FAQs

The Global Shred the Patriarchy Day is open to anyone! Bring friends, invite a coworker, rally your fam. All are welcome.
You can fundraise for the groups doing real work to uplift marginalized and underrepresented communities—nonprofits, mutual aid groups, grassroots collectives, community organizations, whatever. If they're fighting for justice, access, and liberation, they count. This is about getting resources directly to the people doing the work.
Approximately 5% of the funds you raise will be used to cover credit card and processing fees. We'll share the details with you before we disberse them to the organizations/groups you are fundraising for.
