In addition to the many parts, components and other robot consumables needed for this, we must also fund our entry fees, travel and lodging, marketing collateral and team apparel. Each year we enter three regional events around Washington and Oregon with the hope that we will earn a fourth invitation to the World Championships in Houston, Texas in April.

Our running costs exceed $80,000 annually and students cover about 40% of this through their participation fees and team fundraising efforts. Although we receive grants and in kind donations from the Vancouver School District and a few local businesses the balance must come from fundraising activities such as this campaign.
