Peter (aka Simo) is turning 50!

We look forward to celebrating the half-century with you on October 7th.

Instead of any gifts or presents, we'd prefer you to donate to 'For You Haiti', which we've sponsored for many years. We want to raise medical funds for two beautiful little girls, Sephora and Erlande, who are in need of life-changing surgery - you can read their stories below.

Simo and Jaime are also running the 50km Lonely Mountain Ultra the next weekend after the party as part of this fundraiser - and you are welcome to join us (or donate generously instead!!)

Established in 2016, For You Haiti is a not-for-profit relief organization developed to serve, love, and empower the people of Haiti, in particular, the children on the forgotten island of la Gonâve. For You Haiti strives to provide medical, educational, and family assistance to any child that walks through their doors. Through generosity like yours, they have never had to turn away a single patient to date no matter the complexity of their medical case.

Patient 1: Sephora

5 year old, Sephora was born with a genetic condition Neurofibromatosis.

The For You Haiti team met Sephora and her mom a few months ago and we were all deeply moved by her situation. Sephora saw a doctor years ago who wanted a CT scan done before providing any treatment.

Unable to afford it, her mom never took Sephora to see another doctor.

In June 2023, For You Haiti sent Sephora to an excellent ophthalmologist, organised a CT and paid for her initial surgery. Unfortunately, Sephora’s condition is not curable and she will endure a lifetime of growths on her body.

For You Haiti has committed to helping this beautiful girl live a life as normal as possible.

Patient 2: Erlanda

8 year old, Erlanda was born with a rare Hemangioma tumor on her eye area.

For You Haiti sent her to every eye specialist in Port Au Prince where she endured dozens of procedures and treatments in an effort to shrink the tumor, but unfortunately none worked.

Her CT scans show it is spreading to her brain.

After being told there is nothing that can be done for her in Haiti, we reached out to a renowned specialist in the Dominican Republic who has successfully treated these tumors before.

The surgery by a team of neurosurgeons and opthamologists will be done in Santo Domingo.
