Free does not mean without cost.

Hosting a 10,000 neighbor block party requires permits, a stage and sound, security, accessibility, insurance, and all the infrastructure it takes to resurrect a block party at this scale. When you help offset those costs, you not only keep Easter in the Park radically accessible, but you also free up more funds for us to distribute grants to small, underfunded organizations doing the real work of loving their neighbors all year long.

This year’s theme, “Love Thy Neighbor,” is a joy-fueled reminder that our neighbors are not “others” — they are family. In a time when neighborhoods are being divided by fear and misinformation, the Sisters are calling communities back to the radical idea of love — showing up for one another, regardless of our differences. This is exactly what the Sisters’ mission has always stood for — universal joy, acceptance, and unapologetic solidarity with targeted communities.

Since our first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have devoted ourselves to community service, ministry, and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity, and spiritual enlightenment. We use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency, and guilt that chain the human spirit.

Where Your Money Goes

Donations will go into the Sisters' General Fund, which helps cover Easter in the Park, organizational operating expenses, human rights activism, event production, and our Community Grants program! Your donation will support the Sisters’ ministry and promulgation of universal joy for the queer and trans communities and our allies!
