Join the No Kings March on the 28th, 12-4 pm at the Michigan Capital in downtown Lansing (or the No Kings March in your local area), then relax that evening with Sistrum, through our No Show Gala. Yes, you heard it right! We cordially invite you to send your donation to Sistrum Chorus without ever having to put pants on! "That's right, no tuxedos, no gowns, no Spanx squeezing your insides, no push-up bras pushing up your sanity, no make-up that melts faster than your will to socialize, and definitely no ties (unless you’re wearing one as a headband while binge-watching your favorite series, or it matches your No Kings t-shirt or protest sign)."

Here’s how it works: Just donate any amount, and we’ll send you a "ticket" (wink/wink) faster than you can say “I’d rather stay home in my pajamas.” And guess what? We actively encourage you NOT to attend! That's right—don’t even think about coming, in fact, there’s no where to come. We suggest that you kick back in your most comfortable pair of sweats, grab a bowl of snacks, and embrace the sweet freedom of dodging small talk and awkward dance moves on the floor. Instead relive your favorite protest moment, create signs for the next march, celebrate some strong women as National Women’s History Month comes to an end. All proceeds will support the Sistrum Scholarship Fund.

Here’s an idea of what your Donation can support:

A full scholarship for SSN*: $875

A half scholarship for SSN: $440

Pay for an SSN Registration: $175

Make sure a member can eat at SSN: $200

Loyola meal plan: $40/Day

Any amount, large or small, will help and is appreciated!

*SSN: Sistrum is attending Sister Singers Network Festival (SSN) in Chicago this summer. SSN is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a chorus and network with other treble choruses. Our goal is to provide a scholarship to any Sistrum member who requests one so that every member who wants to attend SSN can. Your donation will help us reach that goal!
