For 50 years, St. Joe's Soup Kitchen has served New York City’s hungry and unhoused neighbors with one simple mission: provide hot, nutritious meals with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Every Saturday, our all-volunteer team prepares and serves roughly 300 homemade meals to members of our community experiencing food insecurity and hardship. What began nearly half a century ago has become a lasting tradition of care powered entirely by volunteers, local businesses, and generous supporters like you.

This year marks our 50th Anniversary — and we’re setting our biggest goal yet: raising $50,000 to help sustain and expand our mission. These funds will go directly toward groceries, kitchen supplies, meal service, and the everyday essentials needed to keep our doors open and our plates full.

A meal is more than food. It’s dignity. It’s connection. It’s knowing someone cares.
