This year we are introducing a new way for our biggest fans to support us differently.

Skagit Friendship House supporters are now creating peer-to-peer fundraising pages to help raise the critical funds needed to serve our community members in need. Teams and Individuals can choose to share stories or even participate in challenges to increase the engagement and donor response of our neighbors and friends.

Please join us in making this our strongest fundraising campaign yet, proving that “together we serve”. This format of fundraising will allow everyone to participate at their own comfort level with options of participating from home or safely socially distanced with your fellow team members or as a group for face-to-face interaction. We welcome your support on any level, no team is required, and challenges are optional.

If you do bring a team, having a captain can help establish overall goals and keep challenges organized for your group. Some teams or team sponsors may offer internal incentives to entice a little competition within their group.

We are looking into options for a reward to the highest earning team in 2023, which may even be handed off in years ahead to future winners of our Peer 2 Peer campaigns!

Understanding how peer-to-peer works will help you make a bigger impact as you aim to help. The more people in your network, who learn of the fundraisers that are happening, and see your intent to help Friendship House help others… the more “donate now” clicks we will find across the community.

That’s right, I wrote “fundraiser's”. This seems to be the part that confuses… throughout the Skagit Valley, we will see teams and individuals, helping create awareness and building up social media momentum for successful peer-to-peer campaigns, independently; each hoping to support Skagit Friendship House in achieving the end goal of $100,000.00 raised monies for the 2023 calendar year. This is a big goal, and we hope you will also share the social media links with your peers to make it all that much more meaningful to our community and successful for our residents, visiting our shelters this year.

Your creativity is Welcome here! Some teams or team sponsors may offer internal incentives to entice a little competition within their group. There is talk of teams coming together who intend to compete with another Team, which may prove to be quite exciting!

Your support helps us provide services through our core shelter programs, our off campus transitional house, and the low income rental facility. Your support also provides access to our employment training program, H2H and the many other services we provide to our community, including operations at the Skagit First Step Center, located in Burlington.
