Heyo! My name is Julian, and I've been teaching Skateboarding for Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K. for short) at Visitacion Valley Middle School since April 2023. As a lifelong skateboarder, I'm truly grateful and passionate about passing along my knowledge and experiences regarding skateboarding to youth in this community.

What started as short visits once a week has blossomed into teaching skating for R.O.C.K. everyday after school. Since those early days of teaching, the students have consistently exceeded my expectations with how quickly they learned the fundamentals and how they've already started to develop their individual styles.

Students have done well learning the basics such as pushing, balancing, turning, and stopping using the spaces provided on our school campus. Now I'd like them to explore some different terrain besides the flatground they are accustomed to by introducing some new challenges.

We need ramps!

My goal is to obtain as many obstacles as possible to provide these kids with their own pop-up skate park here at VVMS. I'm calling on all of you to donate whatever you can so these kids can have a fun, safe place to enhance their skate skills. Any amount helps, so please consider making a contribution that is meaningful to you.

If you want to cover the cost of an item for us, here are some things we're seeking:

$100 - Purchases a Puzzle Wedge (launch ramp)
$240 - Funds a Kicker Ramp
$500 - Donates a Slappy Box
$825 - Funds a full Starter Pack by Keen Ramps
$1,000 - Helps us get two Quarter Pipes
