I'll be skiing from first chair to last chair to raise funds for Camp Casco, an organization that I've personally been a volunteer camp counselor with for two years (and going into my third). I've seen first-hand how much of an impact camp can have on these kids who've been affected by childhood cancer and appreciate any support you can give - whether a per-run pledge or a flat amount - every little bit helps send a deserving kid to camp.

It costs about $2,000 to send one kid to camp for the week, so my goal is to raise enough money to support at least one camper this summer, but if you can help me raise enough for 2+ campers, that'd be phenomenal.

I'll be skiing on May ~~8th~~ ~~10th at Killington~~ 13th at Arapahoe Basin (the weather just isn't cooperating, so I'm moving the date once more and have decided on a new venue...one that's not a slushy crowded mess) and anticipate a pace of one run every ~20 minutes!

Update: I completed 31 runs for Camp Casco. I'm still accepting donations and a winner of the 2-night stay in Vail will be drawn on Saturday (May 17th) - simply make a donation of $50 for one raffle entry, and every $10 increment above that will give you an additional entry into the raffle (full details below).

Raffle Details:

*Donate $50 toward this skiathon campaign before 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on May 16, 2025 (the "Deadline") to receive 1 entry into a raffle to win the "Raffle Prize": one two-night stay at Vail View Loft in Vail, Colorado (learn more about the property at www.vailviewloft.com). Every additional $10 beyond the initial $50 donation will grant the donor one additional entry into the raffle. Donors who have made a donation of at least $50 prior to this raffle being announced (May 11, 2025) will receive one entry for the Raffle Prize and are able to receive one additional entry for each $10 increment of any new donation made before Deadline. Donors who made a donation of less than $50 prior to this raffle being announced can receive one raffle entry for making an additional donation that brings their total combined donation to this skiathon campaign up to $50 before the Deadline, and any additional $10 increment above that total before the Deadline will grant the donor one additional entry into the raffle.

If a donor chooses to make a pledge rather than an up-front donation, as long as their pledge results in a $50 or greater donation and their payment has been received prior to the Deadline, they will receive entries into the raffle commensurate with the dollar amount of their donation per the terms above. If the pledged amount is insufficient for a raffle entry, donor is welcome to donate additional funds to be counted toward their total donation after pledges are totaled.

Raffle Prize terms: Prize has no cash value, must be used for a stay occurring before February 1, 2026, and will be applied to the nights on the reservation with the least expensive published rate. Subject to availability and all property policies, including, but not limited to, minimum night requirements, deposits, applicable taxes, additional guest fees, cleaning fees, and cancellation fees. All nights must be used consecutively in one reservation. Unused nights are forfeited. Reservations longer than two nights are welcome; simply pay published rate for any additional nights. Nightly rates typically range anywhere from $105 to $450 depending on the season (rates are variable, these are merely representative).

There is only one prize, and therefore, there will only be one winner. A donation does not guarantee that you'll win - odds of winning will be dependent on how many entries are received by the Deadline. Winner will be randomly selected no later than 24 hours after the Deadline and contacted either via SMS, phone call, or email using the information they provide on the contact form when making their donation. If no response is received by the winner within 48 hours of notification, an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining donors. Winner should contact Vail View Loft via the contact form at www.vailviewloft.com ASAP to reserve their preferred dates, since availability of preferred dates is never guaranteed until a reservation is confirmed.
