Independence Gardens, founded in 2013, is committed to empowering children and their communities to grow and prepare fresh, healthy food through garden-based education programs.

Join us for the first-ever Slice of Hope Pie Auction, hosted by Sunnyland Outdoor Living, where community, creativity, and generosity come together for a delicious cause! Local chefs, bakers, and neighbors will donate their favorite pies to be auctioned off by beloved television host and media personality Amy Vanderoef.

Independence Gardens is a North Texas nonprofit empowering children to make healthy food choices through hands-on gardening, nutrition education, and culinary experiences. Programs like Girls Save the World teach students where food comes from, how to grow it, and how it connects to their health and communities.Funds raised from the Slice of Hope Pie Auction will support new outdoor learning spaces and expand programs that fight food insecurity and childhood obesity across local schools.
