Seabury Slug Showdown: Volume 2

Last year, we decided to try something different.

Instead of doing a traditional auction, which can be a lot of work for a small school community, we created the Seabury Slug Showdown: three nights of trivia, goofy team names, food, drinks, prizes, and a ton of Banana Slug spirit.

And it worked.

Families came. Friends came. People brought coworkers and neighbors. We had around 100 people at each night. Most importantly, it felt Seabury!.

So we’re doing it again.

Volume 2 includes three nights across the school year, starting October 23 at Dystopian State Brewing Co. Teams compete each night, earn points across the season, and battle it out for prizes and, eventually, the grand prize.

Sponsorships help us make the whole thing possible while also supporting the work happening every day at Seabury School.

Seabury is a PK–8 independent school designed for gifted and twice-exceptional learners. Our students are curious, creative, funny, quirky, and capable of some pretty extraordinary things. Our job is to give them a school experience built with them in mind.

Local businesses that sponsor the Showdown help us do that.

We have sponsorship opportunities at $500, $1,000, and $2,500, with different levels of recognition throughout the season. More importantly, sponsors become part of something that brings our families and community together while supporting a school we care deeply about.

And if you sponsor us, we’d also love for you to come play.

Because really, what’s the point of supporting a trivia night if you don’t get to see whether your team can actually win it?

Three Nights. One Grand Prize. Plenty of Spirit.
