For many families, buying a new pair of shoes competes with groceries, housing, utilities, transportation, and other necessities. Children grow quickly, shoes wear out, and replacing them isn't always something a family can immediately afford.

We want to help.

Silver Shepherd Foundation Inc. is a newly established 501(c)(3) public charity serving the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Our first-year goal is to provide footwear assistance to approximately 100 children while building partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and other organizations that already know where the need exists.

Your contribution to this campaign will help us purchase new sneakers and build the resources necessary to get them to children who need them.

Why shoes?

A good pair of shoes is basic, but important.

Kids need shoes to walk into school, participate in activities, play, exercise, and simply get through their day comfortably.

Our goal isn't complicated:

When a child needs shoes, we want to help put a new pair on their feet.

Where your donation goes

Funds raised through this campaign will primarily support the purchase and distribution of new footwear for children in need.

As a lean, newly established nonprofit, we're deliberately starting small. Our focus is building an organization that can demonstrate where its resources go, measure its impact, and grow responsibly.

Our Year One goal is to:

🤝 Establish 3–5 community partnerships

📍 Hold 2–4 footwear distribution events

These are our goals for the year ahead—not accomplishments we're claiming before we've earned them.

More than monetary donations

Silver Shepherd was born from a love of sneakers, so we also understand that a pair sitting in someone's closet can still have value.

We welcome appropriate footwear donations.

Depending on condition and program needs, donated shoes may be:

Resold to generate funding for Silver Shepherd's charitable programs, or

Directed to an appropriate family-serving charitable organization when gently used footwear can help another family.

Our priority for children receiving footwear directly through Silver Shepherd is to provide new sneakers or funding toward new footwear.

That means your old sneakers can help buy a kid a new pair.

We don't have years of impact statistics to show you yet.

What we do have is a mission, a nonprofit built to serve it, and a commitment to be transparent about what we're trying to accomplish.
