Add to Calendar 2022-02-05 15:00:00 2022-02-05 19:00:00 America/New_York Snow Day 2022 Our 14th annual Snow Day, a CAC Beardsley Community Farm Benefit, will be hosted at the Central Filling Station from 3-7 PM on February 5th (rain date will be February 12th). Snow Day will feature live performances by a diverse group of musicians, a soup contest between some of Knoxville's finest restaurants, a silent auction, and a bar with a percentage of profits benefitting the farm. Tickets are $25 if you pre-order online or $30 at the door. Add on a limited edition hand screen printed Snow Day poster by local artist Emma Vieser for an additional $20. All sales are final and support our important mission! Includes all-you-can-eat soup! Be eco-friendly and bring your own soup bowl and spoon! Kids under 8 get in for free! The Central Filling Station 900 N Central St, Knoxville, TN 37917 Musicians: The Montvales, Black Atticus, The Reflectors, Stina & Friends, and Weird Ian Soup and Bread: This year's soup contestants include OliBea, Landing House, Tako Taco, The Phoenix Pharmacy and Fountain, Osteria Stella, Yee-Haw Brewing Co., Koyo, Firetower, Walnut Kitchen, Amici, Vidl and Mother's Daughter Bread, Soeul Brothers, and more to come soon. Come try delicious vegetarian and vegan soups featuring local ingredients! The winner will receive a beautiful gourd award. Arrive early before soup runs out. Please consider bringing your own reusable mug and spoon to cut down on waste. Silent Auction: Come bid on amazing silent auction items! Over one hundred items from wonderful Knoxville businesses will be represented. Story

CAC Beardsley Community Farm promotes food security and sustainable urban agriculture through practice, education, and community outreach. Beardsley Farm grows and donates over 10,000 pounds of organic produce annually to local food pantries and other non-profit organizations with the help of 1,500 volunteers. The farm offers youth and adult educational programming on topics including food production, cooking, nutrition, and meal planning. The farm also provides space for refugee families on-site to grow food for themselves, in addition to managing 25+ community gardens off-site at congregate living site in Knoxville.
