For the past decade, SOMA Pilipinas Filipino Cultural Heritage District has worked to ensure that Filipino culture, stories, and community life remain visible and vibrant in the heart of San Francisco.

But rising costs, displacement, and local and federal divestment from our cultural institutions threaten the communities where culture thrive.

SOMA Pilipinas works every day to ensure that Filipino identity and culture remain a visible and living part of San Francisco through:

• Public art and murals that tell our stories
• Cultural festivals like the Parol Lantern Festival
• Artist showcases and cultural exhibitions
• Advocacy to protect our community and cultural institutions

Over the past two years alone, SOMA Pilipinas programs have engaged more than 6,000 residents, artists, students, and visitors through festivals, public art, cultural education, and exhibitions.

Now, as we celebrate 10 years of SOMA Pilipinas, we invite our community to help power the next decade.

Through this campaign, we are inviting 100 people to become monthly sustainers and help power the next decade of cultural visibility, belonging, and community-building in San Francisco.
