It's 2 AM, your bunny isn't acting quite right, and suddenly you're wondering what to do.

Is it something serious? Should you be worried? Is there anything you can do to help while you're trying to get in touch with a veterinarian?

We've all been there, and we know how overwhelming it can feel when something seems wrong with your bunny, especially when help isn't immediately available.

That's why we're hosting a Bunny First Aid Workshop at the Houston Rabbit Resource Center!

Join us on Sunday, December 6, from 12 to 2 PM for a two-hour workshop led by Dr. Cheryl Morales of Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital and Nancy Martin, Houston Rabbit Resource's Founder and Wellness Coordinator.

Together, we'll cover some of the basics every bunny parent should know, including:

Recognizing early signs that your bunny may be sick or in distress
Understanding common rabbit emergencies and when to seek veterinary care
How to safely check your bunny's temperature
Basic wellness checks and what to look for
Tips for safely handling your bunny and administering prescribed medications
What to keep in a bunny first aid kit
What you can safely do at home while arranging veterinary care
And more, with time for questions!

Rabbits have some pretty unique medical needs, and unfortunately, information about rabbit-specific first aid isn't always easy to find. We want to help change that.

Our hope is that you'll leave feeling a little more prepared, a little more confident, and better equipped to recognize when your bunny needs help.

Tickets are just $5 per person, and every ticket helps support the rabbits in our care and keeps our Center open for more educational workshops like this one.

Space is limited so we can keep the workshop small and give everyone an opportunity to learn and ask questions.

Whether you're a brand-new bunny parent or you've shared your home with rabbits for years, we'd love to have you join us!
