The SOW Retreat: "Why Am I Here?" is a transformative journey designed to help participants reconnect with their ultimate life purpose: living as a true servant (‘abd) of Allah. Built around the spiritual and practical insights of four Surahs (Al-Fajr, Al-Balad, Ash-Shams, and Al-Layl), this retreat bridges the gap between high-level purpose and day-to-day engagement with the world.

Core Purpose: To understand that finding inner peace is not an abstract concept, but the natural outcome of aligning your life’s actions with your identity as a servant of Allah.

About SOW

Each Seeds of Wisdom Retreat explores select surahs from the 30th part of the Holy Quran. Together, we will uncover Quranic insights on identity, justice, and community-building, and reflect on the transformative power of its teachings in addressing the injustices of our time.

Backed by 30+ years of teaching experience, Dr. Nadia Katrangi, Good Tree Chairman and head instructor, leads the group in an engaging, interactive style group discussion. Referencing the Quran from a linguistic, scholarly, and historical perspective, each retreat has an overarching objective to highlight the relevance of the Quran in the context of current times.
