Inspiring Tomorrow's Engineers Today

Spaghetti Squad is a student-led STEM initiative where high school builders on our FIRST Robotics teams (Firestorm and Frostbite) step into leadership roles as instructors and mentors.

Through hands-on workshops, our students teach younger kids fundamental engineering concepts—including 3D printing, laser cutting, digital design, and basic entrepreneurship—while quietly inspiring and recruiting the next generation of robotics competitors.

What This Fundraiser Powers

Please note: Individual camp registration fees cover basic materials. This campaign directly funds the tools, starter kits, equipment, and mentorship training that make these youth STEM programs accessible to all kids.

Your support directly funds:

Starter Kits & Supplies: Microcontroller kits, 3D printing filament, laser-cutting materials, and hardware for student projects.
Workshop Equipment & Tools: Laptops, desktop fabrication tools, and testing stations used during training sessions.
Student Leadership & Mentorship: Equipping high school instructors with teaching tools, curriculum development resources, and mentorship support.
Student Tooling & Ownership Reward: Investing in the 3D printers and workshop tools our high school instructors use to teach and build.

Investing in Student Builders: To honor the exceptional dedication of our youth instructors, students who demonstrate sustained commitment and outstanding leadership in teaching Spaghetti Squad workshops can earn full ownership of the 3D printer or specialized equipment they use—awarded upon recommendation by team mentors and leadership. Your support directly equips and rewards the next generation of empathetic innovators.

Youth Innovation, Guided by Mentors

Spaghetti Squad is a flagship initiative under Cherokee Makerspace's First Foundations program.

High school team members design the curriculum and lead the instruction under the supervision and guidance of experienced adult mentors and makerspace staff.

When you donate to this campaign, you are investing in both the young campers discovering STEM for the first time and the high school leaders developing real-world communication, engineering, and teaching skills.

Thank you for supporting youth STEM education and mentorship!
