This year, the Martinsville–Henry County SPCA is honored to once again join the GivingTuesday movement as we raise vital funds to support our daily operations, from essential supplies to critical veterinary care. Our goal is to raise $120,000, and we can only get there through the kindness and generosity of friends like you. Thanks to our generous supporters, your gift will be matched up to $60,000! Plus, all online gifts made through our website will receive an extra 1% match, so your impact goes even further.

Animal shelters across the country have been facing extraordinary challenges this year, and we’re no exception. Adoptions have slowed, kennels are full, and the cost of everything from food to medical supplies continues to climb. Your GivingTuesday gift will help provide the essentials our animals depend on and ensure we can continue our life-saving work for pets like sweet Limp Bizkit.

Meet Limp Bizkit: The Little Kitten Who Refused to Give Up

When a tiny orange-and-white kitten arrived at our shelter, we immediately noticed the cast on his leg. At first, we hoped it meant someone had tried to help him—but as soon as our veterinary team examined him, the tables turned. Whoever put the cast on never followed up with proper medical care, and the leg underneath had tragically begun to decompose.

There was only one way to save his life: amputation.

It was heartbreaking—but Limp Bizkit showed us what true resilience looks like. This brave little kitten came through surgery purring, and within days, he was hopping around like nothing could hold him back.

Now, Limp Bizkit lives in a loving home where he absolutely rules the roost! He adores his cat brother, Barry, and spends his days leaping, playing, and soaking up every ounce of life. For the first time, he’s completely pain-free—and he’s making up for lost time with every joyful jump and headbutt.

Limp Bizkit’s story is one of survival, compassion, and second chances. But there are so many more animals still waiting for their turn.
