Meet the Speakers

Iyalode Yeyefini Efunbolade

Iyalode Yeyefini Efunbolade is a spiritual leader, author of The Living Shrine, and facilitator whose work bridges ancestral wisdom and contemporary healing. She creates sacred spaces that invite truth-telling, spiritual grounding, and embodied restoration. Her approach honors ritual, reflection, and communal responsibility as pathways toward liberation and wholeness.

In this webinar, Iyalode will guide participants through meditation and a water ritual designed to restore balance, reconnect the spirit, and anchor the healing process in intention and community.

Dr. Kelley Mendez

Dr. Kelley Mendez is a psychologist and educator whose work centers on community healing, cultural humility, and expanding access to mental health support for historically marginalized communities. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to conversations about racism, resilience, and restoration.

Kelley views mental health as more than symptom management. She focuses on creating conditions where people feel safe, seen, spiritually grounded, and deeply valued. Her work emphasizes that mental and emotional wellbeing is a shared community responsibility rooted in dignity, justice, and collective care.

Allaisha Morris

Allaisha Morris is a Community Health Worker and Crisis Intervention Specialist with frontline experience supporting individuals in high-stress and emergency care environments. He is currently a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, training to become a licensed psychotherapist.

His work centers on trauma-informed care and culturally grounded healing practices. Allaisha will explore how race-based traumatic stress shows up physically in the body, including cortisol dysregulation, immune system impact, and chronic stress responses. He is passionate about helping communities understand the connection between mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing so that healing can happen holistically and sustainably.
