Spill Paint Not Oil is a community-driven art action collective that creates art to organize, build power, and support movements in and beyond the Twin Cities. We create space to build relationships and deepen organizing within and across movements, campaigns, and communities. While we primarily focus on abolition, anti-extraction, and justice movements in the midwest, Spill Paint regularly acts in solidarity with other activist groups locally and around the country.

Spill Paint Not Oil grew out of the Stop Line 3 movement and has grown into a large collective of artists and organizers supporting a broad range of movements.

What the Community Fund will be used for:

Rent + Utilities for our studio space ($1100/month)

Art supplies such as banner-making materials, acrylic paint, rollers and brushes.

Screenprinting supplies such as silkscreens, printer ink, (lots of) silkscreen ink, patch fabric, paper.

And a myriad of other artmaking tools and materials we use to keep the space functional for the many people and organizations that come make art in this community studio.
