We are proud to launch TAMOJA Foundation’s 30-day “Sponsor a Leader” campaign.

This campaign is about creating safe spaces for Latine, immigrant, and communities of color youth to heal, grow, and become leaders in preventing gender-based and intimate partner violence.

It’s also about people like Carla, one of our adult participants.

As Carla engages in the TAMOJA Leadership Academy, she has shared how relieved she feels to finally be part of a supportive community where she can openly learn, reflect, and grow. Through the Academy, Carla has been learning to recognize unhealthy behaviors that are often normalized in relationships and families, while building confidence, leadership skills, and self-worth.

As part of her journey, Carla was recently connected to therapy and continues to explore healing and self-love through TAMOJA’s programming. Today, she says she feels safer, more connected, and more empowered because she knows she is not alone.

Carla's impact extends to her family and her community, as she shares how she's practicing prevention in her life. Stories like Carla’s are why we started the TAMOJA Leadership Academy in 2026.

The Leadership Academy is an 18-month immersive program designed to equip youth and adults with prevention education, community-based support, leadership development, and opportunities to co-create culturally responsive strategies that help prevent gender-based and intimate partner violence.

Today, we invite you to sponsor a leader.

A full sponsorship of $1,500 supports one participant throughout the Academy and helps provide:

Scholarship for the 18 monthly in-person leadership and prevention trainings
Educational webinars and workshops
Mentorship and community-building activities
Referrals to other supportive services

Whether you give $25, $50, $300, or fully sponsor a participant for $1,500, your contribution directly supports participants like Carla on their journey toward healing, leadership, and prevention.
