You may have seen us recently introduce some of the new Underdogs we've welcomed into our care. While each of them is now on their journey to finding a forever home, one special pup, in particular, still has a long road ahead before he’s ready for his happily ever after.

Meet Boudreaux, the adorable little meatball. He’s been showing signs of pain, limping, and favoring his back leg. After a vet visit and X-rays, it was confirmed that he has a ruptured cruciate ligament. It’s likely that he was hit by a car at some point, as he has an old pelvic fracture that healed improperly.

It breaks our hearts to think that someone could hurt and leave him to suffer. But we’ve made a promise to Boudreaux that we will give him the care he needs. He’ll be undergoing surgery soon to repair his injury. While this surgery is an unexpected cost for our rescue, it will greatly improve Boudreaux’s quality of life.
