You're invited to a fall fundraiser with an inside look at Battle Point Observatory on Bainbridge Island!

Experience the sparks of discovery happening inside this unique island resource, and how your support makes all the difference. Enjoy nibbles & beverages, get an insider's tour of the building, and meet others who support astronomy and community science.

After gathering we'll start with a Planetarium show by Eleanor Uyyek, our Programming Coordinator, who takes us on a journey across the universe. She'll present resources and experiences shared by local schools on field trip programs to BPO. Next, our astronomers & volunteers will highlight the exciting updates happening inside the dome with the PlaneWave CDK telescope, astrophotography and education programs. Board members will offer a tour upstairs with a demonstration in the workshop and library. Discover how your gift supports new astronomy outreach and supporting science in Kitsap County.

Silent auction onsite for a Celestron NexStar 114 GT from the BPAA Telescope Library, which includes a custom training session with a BPAA astronomer!

Reserve your ticket by November 10th to join us in an afternoon of science and community

Tickets available now @ $100 per ticket. Please choose an entry time of either 3:00 pm or 4:30 pm. The same program is offered with a small group limited seating either time. We look forward to seeing you there!

Can't make it? Show your support with an early donation.

About BPAA

Battle Point Astronomical Association (BPAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. BPAA operates Battle Point Observatory, which hosts a Planetarium and a 14" PlaneWave CDK telescope installed by our team of dedicated volunteers in 2025.

Battle Point Observatory was constructed from the shell of the Helix House, a World War II relic saved by the vision of the founders of Battle Point Astronomical Association. Through volunteer efforts, an Observatory was created thanks to community support.
