United Way believes to effectively serve the children in our community, we must continually improve. At Spotlight, leaders from across the state share their insights, knowledge and experience to help us do better. A TED-Talks framework will highlight new information, trends and techniques.

SPOTLIGHT Speakers

Indiana Youth Institute - Clint Kugler, Vice President of Statewide Engagement will lead a discussion about data trends of Hoosier children from the 2025 KIDS COUNT® Data Book. The discussion will examine the well-being of Indiana kids, including the impact of COVID and continuation of racial/ethnic disparities in outcomes across four domains; Family & Community, Health, Economic Well-Being, & Education. iyi.org

Self-Healing Communities of Michiana is creating resources on the neuroscience of trauma and human resilience to help leaders & community members better care for one another. The goal is to equip community members with the tools & strategies to take care of each other in a way that prioritizes the nervous system. selfhealingmichiana.org
