HELEN KELLER: A legendary disabled activist who stood up for women’s suffrage, she co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union.

MABEL PING-HUA LEE: An activist who rallied the Chinese community for women’s suffrage and improving the lives of women and girls.

IDA B. WELLS: A suffragist and investigative journalist who utilized her intersectionality to fight for freedom and against the oppression of African Americans.

CARRIE CHAPMAN CATT: The Founder of the League of Women Voters, she campaigned for the Nineteenth Amendment, women’s rights and world peace.

FRANCES PERKINS: As the first woman to serve in a U.S. Cabinet position, Perkins fought for suffrage and political inclusivity. She shaped the New Deal, advocating for workers’ rights and fair labor standards.

ZITKALA-SA: A Yankton Dakota writer and activist who fought for Native American citizenship, voting rights, cultural preservation, as well as humane health care access and economic rights.
