Out in National Security (ONS) invites you to join a small, in-home gathering of leaders from across the national security, defense, and policy community.

This evening will mark the launch of ONS’s Equal Service Working Group (ESWG), a new initiative focused on ensuring that LGBTQIA+ servicemembers and veterans are treated with fairness, consistency, and institutional credibility across policy, personnel systems, and implementation.

The Working Group is designed to pair disciplined policy analysis with coalition engagement, bringing together practitioners, policymakers, and community leaders to address questions of equal service with seriousness and care.

The gathering will be held at a private residence in Washington and will feature a senior leader from the defense community.

Supporting the Work

Your contribution will directly support the launch and early work of the Equal Service Working Group, including:

• Policy analysis and research on equal service issues affecting servicemembers and veterans
• Convenings and coalition engagement across the national security community
• Development of practical, implementation-focused recommendations

ONS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

While there is no fixed ticket price, we suggest the following contribution levels for those who are able:

• $250 — Supporter
• $100 — Friend
