Workers at the Springfield Partners Early Learning Center are fighting for fair wages, adequate time off, and respect on the job.

Springfield Partners is a nonprofit providing services to help community members in need achieve economic stability, and workers at the Early Learning Center are unionized with UAW Local 2322. The current starting pay for teachers is just $16.50 an hour, and some have even had to seek services from Springfield Partners out of economic need.

Union members have been in negotiations with Springfield Partners since January, and they have been met with disrespect and a lack of transparency from management and their lead counsel at the bargaining table.

Your donations will support childcare workers at the Springfield Partners Early Learning Center while fighting for a fair contract.

Federal law prohibits the UAW from asking for or taking money, or anything of value, from any employer that it collectively bargains with. UAW is also prohibited from asking for or taking money, or anything of value, from any employer it could collectively bargain with.

You may not contribute to this fundraising drive, and UAW will not accept contributions from you, if:

You work for an employer in an executive position, or as a labor relations expert, advisor, or consultant

AND

UAW is the authorized bargaining representative of your employer’s employees, or
UAW has a collective bargaining agreement with your employer, or
Your employer is the subject of an actual or planned organizing drive by the UAW, or
Your employer is engaged in an industry or line of business which the UAW has traditionally represented, or tried to represent, or would admit to its membership.
