A powerful three-part documentary series, Firewatch exposes the human cost of toxic burn pits — massive open-air fires once used to dispose of waste, fuel, and debris across U.S. military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The true story of a grassroots movement born around a kitchen table in small-town Texas, where Rosie and Le Roy Torres turned personal tragedy into a national call for justice — demanding accountability for veterans poisoned by toxic exposure from burn pits. Joined by Danielle Robinson and Susan Zeier, who transformed their grief into action after the loss of Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson (name sake of the the PACT Act), and powered by advocates like Tim Jensen, Marine veteran and co-founder of Grunt Style, their voices rose from living rooms and town halls to echo through the halls of Congress. Alongside public figures Jon Stewart and John Feal, whose relentless advocacy for 9/11 first responders laid the groundwork for this new fight, their collective persistence led to the passage of the PACT Act — one of the most transformative veterans’ care reforms in modern U.S. history — holding negligence accountable and honoring those who sacrificed long after the battles ended.
