The need for safety is urgent. This year alone, our Safehouse provided 8,854 nights of shelter to 175 survivors—families, children, and individuals with nowhere else to turn.

But every night, more come seeking refuge than we have room for. There are 53 families on the Safehouse waitlist - 23 have been on the list for longer than 90 days. The demand keeps growing, and we can’t do it without you. Every dollar helps keep the light shining for those fleeing danger.

In front of my children, my abuser strangled me to the point of unconsciousness. After enduring years of abuse, I found the strength to leave for good. It was my fourth attempt. After he was arrested, we escaped to Stand Up Placer’s safe house. Stand Up Placer changed the course of our lives. Their compassionate, free, and confidential therapy, support groups, case management, and parenting classes gave us hope and healing. My children are thriving!
