Story
Thank you so much to all who joined us for the livestream Steppin' Out. If you missed it you can see a half-hour version here.
For 32 years, Steppin’ Out has been Boston’s largest multi-cultural gala and is the largest source of unrestricted, flexible funds raised by the Dimock Center. Funds are used to support the mission of the Dimock Center to heal and uplift patients and families in Roxbury, and surrounding communities. Please consider making a gift, of any size, today by clicking on the green "Support Dimock" button at the top of the page.
Our community of patients are among the hardest hit by the pandemic and the ensuing economic devastation. Your gifts will help provide uninterrupted quality primary and behavioral health care, and treatment for substance use disorder, while also meeting emerging needs for COVID-19 testing and treatment. Together, we will ensure that these vulnerable patients and families receive the care they need during this health crisis, and in the post-pandemic future. Thank you so very much.
This year’s Steppin' Out was hosted by WCVB Channel 5's Karen Holmes Ward who has been the MC for Steppin' Out for all 33 years! Included in the event are Dimock videos sharing patient stories, the presentations of the Congressman John Lewis Social Justice Award to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and the Dimock Difference Leadership Award to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, musical performances by our headliner Andre Ward with vocalists Phaedra Butler and Athene Wilson, and Jennifer Holliday.
