The vision for Still We Rise Against Breast Cancer ("Still We Rise") was crafted by founder, Megan Wilson, during some of her most difficult days battling metastatic breast cancer. While in the midst of the fight for her own life, she was thinking about others and how she could help breast cancer patients and their families. Megan was passionate about holistic health and how those services could complement the care she received from her oncology team. Acupuncture, therapy, and massage were some of the appointments she relied on for an improved quality of life during treatment. These complementary therapies enabled her to show up for herself, her family, and her life. Megan felt privileged to have access to these modalities, and envisioned a foundation that would make grants giving similar access to others during their own breast cancer treatment journey.

Megan passed away in December 2022, leaving a forever impact on anyone she met. Still We Rise will carry on Megan’s legacy for lifetimes to come.
