The Stonewall Chorale celebrates its 50th anniversary with LOVE OUT LOUD—and welcomes Nick Sienkiewicz for his first season as Artistic Director.

A celebration of love and connection featuring works by queer composers and artists, including Carlos Cordero, Christian Velasquez, Susan LaBarr, Rina Sawayama, Nancy Wilson, and Madonna. The centerpiece of the program is Christopher Tin’s Transfigurations, with text by Charles Anthony Silvestri.

Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard comes to life in the Chorale’s first concert at historic St. Bartholomew’s Church. This powerful fusion oratorio reflects on the life and legacy of Matthew Shepard and will be presented with orchestra, soloists, costumes, staging, and lighting.

The Chorale closes its 50th season with Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, performed in collaboration with the Queer Big Apple Corps in an arrangement for chorus, wind band, piano, and percussion. The program will also feature a new commission by inaugural Composer-in-Residence Jake Landau.
