Lillian grew up knowing that education was a privilege her family could never afford.

In Uganda, public education is not free. Families must pay school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and exam fees. For generations, Lillian’s family was locked out of school simply because the cost was too high.

Many nights, she slept beside her grandmother on a single thin mattress, studying by the dim glow of a borrowed candle. Her grandmother prayed over her, asking God to give Lillian the future that had never been possible for their family.

Despite hunger, lack of resources and the instability of home, Lillian never stopped dreaming.

Everything changed when she entered Solid Rock School.

For the first time, she received what every child deserves,
• Two meals a day
• A safe classroom
• Clean water
• A full time medical clinic
• Textbooks and learning materials
• Teachers who believe in her

With stability came confidence. Today, Lillian carries a spark in her, a growing boldness that comes from being supported and empowered. She is emerging as a natural leader among her peers.

And she is only one of more than 700 students who depend on Zozu every single day.

🧡 Why We Need You Now

Zozu provides education from preschool through Senior Four, boarding for P6- S4 students, a medical clinic, six clean water wells, and employment for 84 Ugandans with competitive salaries, housing, and retirement.

Costs in Uganda have risen sharply. Textbooks, food, fuel, and boarding support are significantly more expensive. Our annual budget has grown from $250,000 to nearly $650,000 because we now serve the full educational, medical, and daily needs of more than 700 children.

The General Fund makes all of this possible.
