Strong Arm Food Bank- Keep us Connected

“Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life? There is no deficit in human resources. The deficit is in human will.”
— Martin Luther King
Jr

We can all agree that no one should have to go hungry, especially in a world with as much wealth as ours. But the sad reality is that more than 821 million people are currently suffering from hunger. That's one in nine people on earth who don't have enough to eat.  According to latest numbers, 79% of the students in Albertville City Schools are documented to experience food insecurity. With rising prices, the need for a efficient, sustainable food bank in our community has never been greater.

While hunger is a complex problem with many root causes. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are things that we can do to help bring an end to hunger.

We can work together to take care of our neighbors in need.  Strong Arm Food Bank has been serving our community to connect food distributors to the food ministries and citizens in need  in Northeast Alabama for 22 years. We have a great group of volunteers, efficient operations and  low overhead expenses. We  operate on donations from the churches who give out the food and individuals who want to help support our mission.  Recently, one benefactor who helped greatly with our equipment purchases and maintenance passed away.  As we work to create a sustainable, diverse development plan to fund our mission for the long run, we have some immediate needs. Our organization depends on reliable transportation to connect the dots between food distributors and citizens in need . Can you help keep us connected by giving to our campaign to purchase a new motor for our box truck?
