Sugar Heal formed in direct response to the Black maternal health crisis; a group of healers crowd-sourcing care for their community, one birth at a time.

Our innovative approach attracted angel donors, grants and crowdfunders who believed in our vision. The $1M we raised made it possible to provide free reproductive health services to over one hundred families, develop birth worker training curriculum and plan for the opening of a maternal health center.

As we continue to expand our offerings and impact, our next goal is to connect with multi-year funding opportunities which will further facilitate us doing what we do best: providing high-quality, culturally-competent holistic maternity services to Black & Indigenous families in Los Angeles, CA.
