CARE STL has always been a place of second chances.

Every day, animals arrive at our doors lost, abandoned, injured, frightened, or simply with nowhere else to go. As St. Louis City’s open-admission animal shelter, we are here for them...providing safety, medical care, compassion, and a path toward home.

Now, we’re asking our community to help secure the future of that work.

Summer of Second Chances is a community campaign focused not only on helping the animals who need us today, but on building a stronger, more sustainable CARE STL for the thousands of animals who will need us in the years ahead.

Treatment, medications, surgeries, diagnostics, and recovery support for animals who arrive sick, injured, or in crisis.
