Sunshine Summer Jam: Support the Future of Community Radio

Community radio is built one listener, one volunteer, one musician, and one conversation at a time.

For 13 years, RadioStPete and Sunshine 96.7 FM have served as a platform for local voices, local music, and meaningful community conversations. Today, we're inviting you to help ensure that mission continues to grow.

The Sunshine Summer Jam is our annual fundraising celebration and our opportunity to invest in the future of independent community media. From June 13 through June 16, we'll bring together listeners, musicians, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters for four days of live programming, special events, and unforgettable performances—all with one goal:

Raise $15,000 to support local radio and community storytelling.

Every dollar you contribute stays right here in our community. Your donation helps sustain the programs listeners depend on every day, including:

Lunchtime Conversations
Florida Folk Show
Songwriters Hour
Common Chords
Election forums and candidate interviews
Coverage of neighborhood, civic, and community events

Your support also helps expand our commitment to local music through live studio performances, artist interviews, community showcases, and concert broadcasts that give local musicians a platform to reach new audiences.

This year's campaign will also fund important improvements to our studio and broadcasting capabilities, including:

Enhanced acoustic treatment
New microphones and broadcast equipment
Improved lighting and video production capabilities
Expanded seating and interview space
Podcast production upgrades

We're also investing in the next generation through college internship opportunities, partnerships with local educational institutions, and outreach programs that introduce young people to broadcasting, journalism, and storytelling.

Join Us for Sunshine Summer Jam

The celebration begins Saturday, June 13, with the Florida Folk Show at 10 a.m. and Songwriters Hour at 1 p.m., showcasing the incredible talent that thrives throughout our region.

On Sunday, June 14, we'll broadcast live music from our studio from 1 to 5 p.m., bringing listeners closer to the artists who make our local music scene so vibrant.

Monday features special programming starting at 12:15PM , hosted by Stephen Riordan and Domenico Pontoriero, community leaders, Council Member Gina Driscoll and Williams Park Partnership CEO Shaun Drinkard, will be discussing the issues and opportunities shaping our city. The conversation will be followed by another afternoon of live music.

The celebration concludes Tuesday, June 16, at the Palladium with a special performance by The Mad Beach Band.
