Every Sunday, young musicians from across Central Texas come together at Austin Youth Orchestra. They unpack their instruments, greet their stand partners, and settle into music that asks them to listen closely—to their conductor, to one another, and to their own place in the sound.

Over a season, unfamiliar passages become familiar. Students hear how their parts fit together, gain the confidence to take on more challenging music, and form friendships through the work they share. When they step onto the concert stage, they bring all those weeks of discovery with them.

Your gift to AYO’s 2026–27 Annual Fund supports that experience.

Across our five orchestras, students have opportunities to grow from their early ensemble experiences into advanced orchestral repertoire. Donations help provide financial assistance for families, sheet music, rehearsal and performance spaces, and opportunities to learn from guest conductors and educators.

This season, Chris Tran has stepped into the role of Music Director and Principal Conductor, guiding AYO’s artistic vision alongside our conducting staff. With a new Sunday rehearsal home at Westlake High School and Hill Country Middle School, we’re beginning a season full of possibilities for our musicians.

For more than 50 years, AYO has brought young people together to make music. Your support sustains the teaching, preparation, and care that make those rehearsals and performances possible—and helps reduce financial barriers to participation.

Please consider a gift to the Annual Fund. Thank you for giving young musicians a place to learn, belong, and create something together.
