Heading into our 6th year as a program, Denver Urban XC has some of its highest participation numbers ever, with kids from underserved communities in 3rd grade all the way through freshmen in college running with us this year. We remain as committed as ever to ensuring that there are no barriers to entry in the sport of running for our new runners or barriers to success for our experienced runners.

We have only been able to make it this far due to the incredible support of donors like YOU. YOU are the reason our kids have comfortable running shoes to run in. YOU are the reason our kids have comfortable running clothes to wear. YOU are the reason our kids have races they can compete in. YOU are the reason that our very first Urban XC athlete to compete in collegiate cross country and track and field in the NCAA has everything she needs to be successful. We can't do what we do without YOU, and we are so grateful for you.

And as our team continues to grow, we need your help more than ever!

Here are some highlights of what your donations have already made possible for our kids, and what they continue to make possible:

-Four of our high school athletes have been able to fly to Mesa, Arizona for the Nike Southwest Regional Championships in order to compete with some of the best runners in the country.

-One of our athletes was able to attend her college's preseason training camp in Big Bear, California.

-An athlete was able to run at the Running Lane Track and Field Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, allowing her to secure a mile time that helped her be recruited by her future college.

-Every one of our student athletes is able to have comfortable running shoes and clothes to run in.

-Our student athletes are able to compete in as many cross country meets as they would like to in the fall, free of charge.

-Our high school athletes are able to receive help with their college applications and scholarship applications (with three Urban XC kids now attending college Boston College, Rice University, and Scripps College on full ride academic scholarships).

-Our student athletes receive year round coaching free of charge.

-Our student athletes are equipped with any training and recovery tools they need to become the best runners they can be while staying healthy.

-And of course... post run popsicles and snacks!

We are so grateful for all you have done to this point to make this program possible for our kids. Running changes lives, and with your support, it will continue to change the lives of our incredible, resilient, and gifted kids.
