MORE THAN 40 YEARS OF CHANGING LIVES

For over 40 years, the Urban Enrichment Institute has stood beside young men at some of the most important moments of their lives—mentoring them, challenging them, introducing them to new possibilities, and preparing them for successful futures.

Our Student Success Pathway begins with a strong foundation: academic support, leadership development, mentoring, life skills, and hands-on enrichment. From there, we help young people discover their next step—college, career training, skilled trades, credentials, or employment.

But the real story of UEI is best told through the young men themselves

One of our high school students came to UEI with a love for music and a dream of becoming a music producer. As he developed his skills, something remarkable happened. He asked us for permission to recruit friends and classmates so that he could teach them how to create marketable beats and express themselves through music.

Think about that transformation. He did not simply ask, “What can UEI do for me?” He began asking, “How can I help other students?” Today, he is one of our strongest students and has become a peer mentor to other middle and high school students. He is developing his gifts while helping other students discover theirs.

That Is Leadership. That Is Mentorship. That Is UEI.

This is why your contributions matter.

Today, a changing environment surrounding education, equity, youth development, and charitable giving has created funding challenges to UEI’s ability to meet the needs of its students and their families. But the needs of our students have not diminished—and neither has our commitment to them.

OUR GOAL: $100,000 BY DECEMBER 31, 2026

Your contribution helps UEI continue to provide mentoring, workforce development, academic and college and career readiness support, and enrichment that allows a young man to discover what is possible for his life.

2025-2026 School Year Impact:

6 schools served (3 middle and 3 high schools)
211 Students Served
683 Community Service Hours
100% Graduation Rate

We are honoring over 40 years of impact by building a foundation for the next 40.

Because somewhere in our program are more students who simply needs someone to recognize their talent and show them: We believe in you, and your future matters to us.

Stand With UEI. Stand With Our Students. Invest In Their Future.

Your gift—whether $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $5,000, or another amount meaningful to you—moves us closer to our $100,000 goal.

Together, we can continue helping boys become responsible, successful men—and build stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger Houston.
