For nearly 40 years, the Center for Clean Air Policy has worked to turn climate challenges into practical solutions. Our story began when a group of governors came together to address the acid rain crisis. Since then, CCAP has helped turn big climate ideas into real-world policy, from early carbon market innovation to hands-on work helping countries and cities cut methane pollution.

Today we continue that work with communities around the world. We support more than 20 countries to better manage organic waste and reduce methane emissions. It may not be the most visible part of the climate conversation, but it is urgent: methane is far more powerful than carbon dioxide in the short term, and reducing methane is one of the fastest ways to slow near-term warming.

CCAP takes a “big tent” approach to climate policy. We work with national policymakers, as well as local leaders, community voices, nonprofits, and technical experts. Their knowledge is essential to building solutions that actually work.

Now this work is at risk.

The current political and funding environment has put independent climate policy organizations like ours under real strain. CCAP is facing a short-term cash-flow gap that threatens our ability to continue operating, support our team, and sustain the partnerships built over decades.

This is not a mission gap. Our work is active. The need is urgent. The partnerships are real.

But we need immediate flexible support to keep going.
