What happens when a Latina walks onto a comedy stage?

Usually, she has to fight twice as hard for a spotlight that was not built for her. For too long, the comedy scene has overlooked the brilliant, sharp, and hilarious voices of our community. The Latina Comedy Festival was built to change that, but we need your help to keep the mic on.

As we celebrate our 5th year this October 1st-3rd at The Lincoln Lodge in beautiful Chicago, we’re also feeling the growing pains that come with expanding our impact. To bring Latina comedians from across the North America and beyond, we cover the on‑the‑ground essentials — workshop costs, meals and snacks, production needs, and venue costs. We’re planning to showcase 50 powerhouse comedians who will perform in English, Spanish and Spanglish, but without additional funding, we’re limited in how many artists we can host and how many voices we can truly elevate on our stage.

We are not just putting on a show; we are building a movement where Latina voices are the main event. Your support goes directly toward:

Workshops, community meals, and artist hospitality — from lunch‑and‑learn sessions to snacks, drinks, and our kickoff and wrap parties that help performers connect and feel supported throughout the festival.
Professional production and tech support — ensuring every show runs smoothly with high‑quality sound, lighting, and the crew needed to make every punchline land.
Venue rentals that create a safe, celebratory space for Latina comedians and the audiences who come to cheer them on.
Marketing and promotion so our performers play to full rooms and their work reaches the audiences it deserves.
