Friends of South Hadley Athletics is a growing community-led effort made up of parents, alumni, coaches, athletes, and supporters who are committed to sustaining and strengthening athletic opportunities for South Hadley student-athletes.

At the recent Town Meeting, the community voted to use free cash funding to help support FY27 school and athletic funding. While we are incredibly grateful for that outcome, we also recognize that it is only a temporary, one-year solution. Long-term funding challenges for athletics still remain for FY28 and beyond.

What originally began as an emergency effort to help preserve athletics has now evolved into a long-term mission focused on building sustainable support for South Hadley Athletics and the students who benefit from these programs every day.

Athletics play a vital role in the student experience. Sports help students build teamwork, leadership, confidence, discipline, resilience, and school pride while creating friendships, mentorships, and memories that last a lifetime.

South Hadley Athletics has a proud history of success and community pride, but maintaining these opportunities requires long-term community support.
