Help Keep the Baltimore Rhythm Festival Free!

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, from Noon to 6:00 PM, Baltimore will come together again in rhythm—and we need your help to make it happen.

The Baltimore Rhythm Festival will take place at Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School, where we will gather for a joyful day of live performances, participatory workshops, drumming, dance, movement, family activities, and cultural experiences that welcome people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Baltimore Rhythm Festival is a celebration of the extraordinary power of rhythm to bring people together. Through music, movement, and shared cultural expression, we create a space where people from different neighborhoods, generations, and traditions can meet one another in joy, creativity, and community.

And we believe everyone should be able to participate.

That is why the Baltimore Rhythm Festival is free and open to all.

Building on a Baltimore rhythm-festival tradition that began more than three decades ago, we continue to create a gathering where accomplished artists share their work, traditions are passed along, children and families are welcomed, new collaborations begin, and audiences become participants rather than simply spectators.

In times when it can feel as though so much pulls us apart, gathering face-to-face matters. Making music together matters. Dancing together matters. The shared language of rhythm gives us a way to connect, celebrate, restore ourselves, and remember our common humanity.

Keeping the festival free does not mean producing it is free. Your gift helps us:

Pay and support the artists and cultural practitioners who make the festival possible
Provide free performances and participatory workshops
Support children’s and family programming
Cover sound, staging, equipment, permits, insurance, security, and other essentials needed for a safe and welcoming event
Reach more people throughout Baltimore and the region

The Baltimore Rhythm Festival is now building as an independent nonprofit organization, strengthening our ability to sustain this work and grow into the future.
